About the Watch
In 1956, a Swiss expedition embarked on a daunting mission to scale the formidable Mount Everest and the Himalayan Ranges. The team was equipped with Enicar chronometers, which had gained worldwide recognition following their success in the ascent. Among the members of the expedition was Ernst Reiss, who credited the precision of the Enicar watch for its exceptional performance in extreme weather conditions. As they embarked on their journey, the climbers faced numerous challenges, including harsh weather conditions and treacherous terrains. However, the Enicar chronometers proved to be reliable companions, helping the climbers keep track of time and ensure they stayed on schedule. During the expedition, Reiss's Enicar watch suffered a few scratches and bumps, but it continued to function flawlessly. Its exceptional accuracy allowed the climbers to make informed decisions and avoid potential dangers along the way. In the meantime, Enicar introduced its waterproof Ultrasonic dive watch – Sea Pearl, which quickly gained popularity among diving enthusiasts. With its robust construction and precision timekeeping, the Sea Pearl became a must-have accessory for adventurers and explorers alike.
About the Brand
Enicar has always played an instrumental role in the development of mechanical watches. With its origin in 1854 as a family watchmaker, Enicar takes pride in its great heritage and constant quest to create reliable and high-performance timepieces with state-of-the-art technology, elegance and endurance. Founder Artiste Racine established the company 'Racine Watch Co.' in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland in 1914, when he ingeniously reversed the spelling of his own last name to become the timeless brand 'Enicar'. The name has since been recognized as a symbol of quality.
